New Mentoring Service – Get ready for OCE Examinations
Do you have staff undertaking the upcoming NSW Open Cut Examiners (OCE) written or oral examinations? Forsythes Training now offers face to face group mentoring to help participants pass with flying colours!
The OCE exams are difficult and have high failure rates. Many people doing the exams haven’t studied for these types of exams for some time or at all. Our OCE and mining expert Jeff Hanlon has OCE certificates and has sat on the examinations panel.

Meet the Team – Jeff Hanlon
Jeff Hanlon is our newest trainer in the mining and resource courses. He knows the sector inside and out, thanks to 35 years’ experience as an engineer and manager in the mining and quarrying industries. That includes working as a Mine Supervisor and a Mine Manager with Australia’s leading mining companies, and for the NSW Government as an Inspector of Mines (Explosive Security).
He has a NSW Open Cut Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency and a NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency and has served on the NSW OCE examinations panel. Jeff leads our new OCE examinations mentoring service.
