Fully subsidised emotional intelligence training workshop

People experiencing reduced working hours, due to COVID lockdowns, can access our training in emotional intelligence at no cost to them this month.

Thanks to funding from the NSW Government (Locked Down, Skill Up), we’re offering a one-day, online, course on September 22.

The training will enhance an important skill and is a unit of competency in our Diploma of Leadership & Management. Research shows emotional intelligence is key for successful leaders and managers and is lacking in many Australian workplaces.

The virtual classroom course will be delivered live by a trainer over ZOOM, so it is just like being in a classroom.

First OCE course participants use Smart & Skilled training subsidies

The first intake of our new, nationally recognised, RII40220 Certificate IV in Surface Coal Mining (Open Cut Examiner) course started work this month. They took advantage of savings made available under NSW Training Services’ Smart and Skilled program.

Forsythes Training is the only NSW Smart & Skilled provider offering this essential upskilling program and pathway across NSW. The cost savings are more than 50%!

The 14 week, 14 workshop course is mandatory for people who want to be an Open Cut Examiner (OCE) at a surface coal mine but don’t have a Bachelor of Mining Engineering form an Australian University. The Course can initially be delivered via a virtual classroom before transitioning back to face-to-face when Covid-19 restrictions permit.

Tomago zooms into TAE virtual classroom training

Picture this. A Tomago Aluminium employee is in his backyard conducting a safe manual handling task. His peers are assessing him, via ZOOM, from Tomago’s training room or their backyard. Their trainer is supervising from her home office.

Even before lockdowns were in force, Tomago thought it had no choice but to reschedule its face to face TAE40116 Skill Sets training.

Enter our virtual classroom solution. With virtual classroom, staff still interact with the trainer, and each other, via the main classroom and breakout rooms. And people can complete assessments, even from their backyard.

Some staff were initially hesitant about using ZOOM but soon saw it was it easy to use and interactive.

Don’t let COVID-19 make you drop the ball on WHS

It is important that COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions don’t force you to drop the ball on essential WHS training.

We can offer all  WHS courses online via virtual classroom including the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety and the one day WHS Responsibilities For Supervisors workshop.

Staff from various sites and those at home can come together to complete training, live with the trainer. Just like they are in a classroom.

If COVID-19 restrictions have tightenmed your training budget, let us help you see if Smart and Skilled government subsidies are available for your WHS training.
