Case study: Skilling up the team at Mullane

Our customised training program for Hunter and Central Coast plumbing, drainage, gas, roofing and electrical services company Mullane is helping it to effectively skill up its existing team.

Over five months in 2023, 38 staff undertook skill sets in leadership and management, project management and staff development and mentoring.

Mullane says the training has given team members new skills to create a learning and development culture to grow emerging leaders through training, upskilling and mentorship.

Many of the participants had not received formal training in a very long time. They now have new skills and a better understanding of how to connect and communicate with their teams.

The nationally accredited BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is a popular qualification for people looking for more in depth WHS skills including managing the overall wellbeing of people.

Its suitable for people who work under supervision and those who do not. You need to be in a work environment where you can access workplace documents, implement feedback and changes in controls.

Need your staff to be more resilient?

Only 1 in 10 people have resilience that’s strong enough to protect against mental illness.
Half of us will experience a period of mental illness in their life, but only two thirds will talk about it with someone they trust. In Australia, poor mental health costs between $43 billion and $51 billion per year, and indirectly costs a further $130 billion in lost productivity.

Our 2 day accredited Resilience First Aid mental health course helps people to learn how to build mental fitness through a practical strength-based approach. It is about being proactive and taking a preventative approach to mental health.
