The BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management replaces the Certificate IV Frontline Management. It reflects the role of individuals working as developing or emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprises.
The NEW qualification incorporates more concepts around leadership and how to provide guidance and support to others. Participants in the qualification are responsible for not only their own performance but have accountability for organising and monitoring the output of their team.
What is the BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management qualification?
This qualification replaces the Certificate IV Frontline Management it reflects the role of individuals working as developing or emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprises.

12 units of competence, consisting of 4 core units and 8 elective units.
The Forsythes assessment strategy for this course is a dynamic process designed to ensure participants have a range of opportunities to demonstrate their understanding and application of the key management concepts of the course. The key focus is that the assessment is realistic to workplace application. There are four (4) Assessment Strategies that will be adopted and each have a range of assessment methods.
Participants will be required to identify an improvement project that they would like to plan, implement and review in the workplace.
They will be required to gain management support for the project and establish a project team to lead through the implementation of the project.
This is primarily a planning task and incorporates a range of activities that need to be completed during the course and time allocated.
They form part of the assessment. Some activities require more work than others and you will need to plan the completion of these activities. This involves Knowledge Questions, Case Studies and the development of Business documentation.
Knowledge Questions – designed to ensure participants have a solid understanding of the underpinning knowledge of management principles required for this level of application in the workplace.
A role-play exercise is an assessment activity in which participants act out an imaginary scenario that closely mirrors a situation that could occur in the job they have applied for.
There are four (4) Role Plays in this program that address the following areas;
Case studies are stories. They present realistic, complex, and contextually rich situations and often involve a dilemma, conflict, or problem that one or more of the characters in the case must negotiate.
There are several Case Studies and Group Activities in this program on the following topics;
Management Interviews – Participate in a Management Interview where you will be required to provide specific examples of how you showed leadership in your work role or a project that you have managed.
