Kickstart a career in the VET sector

Looking for a new career? Kickstart one in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector as a trainer or assessor with our nationally recognised Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122).

Read why we are industry leaders in TAE training.

Learn your way with face-to-face, virtual classroom, and self-directed courses. We also provide customised and contextualised full qualification and skill set training in TAE at workplaces.

What people say about our TAE training

Here’s what James and Skye said on LinkedIn about their TAE experience with Forsythes Training.

“When I got my Cert IV’s in leadership & management and my TAE at Forsythes not only did I get the qualifications they also ensured we had the understanding of what will be required for me to succeed in your career pathways.” James H, Trainer and Assessor.

“I did Cert IV Tae with Forsythes in 2022 and loved it! So valuable and I’ve definitely used a lot of what we learnt in my role as a learning designer.” Skye S, Instructional and e-learning Designer.

Do you have leaders of the future?

Does your business or organisation have people moving into a supervisor or other leadership role?

They can’t build and retain efficient and effective teams unless they understand their leadership style. Are they task or people focussed? Self awareness, emotional intelligence, communication and conflict resolution are essential skills for successful leaders. Many leaders do not have or have not been given training to develop these skills.

Our practical two day Leaders for the Future course gives leaders insight and tools to build better working relationships with their team, peers and your manager.

We can come to your workplace to run this course with the flexibility of people joining online via virtual classroom. We can also provide individual or group coaching as post course support.

Our public 2 day Effective Leadership program is also very popular.

Course explainer – NEW BSB40520 Certificate IV Leadership and Management

Our new BSB40520 Certificate IV Leadership and Management better meets the needs of workplaces and leaders and supervisors. The blended learning program has less training days and requires more workplace evidence.

It is ideal for existing supervisors to formalise their skills and knowledge. They will complete the nationally recognised qualification over seven workshops in just nine months.

The program commences March 2025 – face to face at our Newcastle training centre or via live virtual classrooms. We can also deliver a dedicated, customised program for your workplace.

We also offer the 12 month BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management.

Use Microsoft Power BI for powerful reports

Do your reports stand out and provide clear, easy to understand data?

Power BI is a new Microsoft business intelligence program. It creates powerful and visually appealing dashboards and graphical visualisations using data from Excel and other programs.

Our certified trainer offers 1-day Level 1 or level 2 courses face to face or via live virtual classroom. You need an intermediate or Level 2 understanding of Excel to do a Level 1 Power BI course.

Is Power BI the same as Excel

Power BI does not edit, add or change data like Excel. It tidies and normalises data from Excel into “Fact” and “Dimension” tables for more efficient data manipulation.

Our Desktop Applications trainer Wayne Robinson can train you in Excel and other Microsoft applications such as Word and Project.

We now issue Statements of Attainment for eligible Desktop Applications.

Deliver projects on time and on budget

We can give you the skills to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Our project management trainers have real world experience. They will show you how to better plan, implement and adapt projects effectively.

Choose from nationally accredited qualifications or a 2 day workshop in project management fundamentals. Study your way with both face to face and virtual online classroom options.

Q. What do MHFA, feedback and professional development have in common?

Our Trainer and Assessor in Mental Health, Resilience and Leadership Tommy Pulleine has had the privilege of training thousands of people in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). One of his favourite moments is hearing how people have applied what they learnt.

MHFA gives you a clear process and the confidence and the right language to have a meaningful conversation with someone to guide them toward the help they need. It is something everyone could benefit from doing, especially in businesses or organisations wanting to be mentally healthy and resilient workplaces.

Like all our trainers and assessors, Tommy undertakes regular professional development and other training to give our participants the best quality training possible. He was in Melbourne last month to complete a Resilience First Aid refresher upskill course. Tommy says professional development deepens understanding and provides fresh insights to make a difference.

A. So, the answer to the question is they can all make a positive difference.
