Successful completion of the Diploma gives you 60 credit points towards Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce courses at the University of Newcastle.
A practical and relevant qualification, this course is ideal for experienced managers with staff and/or operational responsibilities. The extensive choice of programs allows managers to cover the breadth of topics relevant to their responsibilities in today’s workplace.

The Forsythes assessment strategy for this course is a dynamic process designed to ensure participants have a range of opportunities to demonstrate their understanding and application of the key management concepts of the course.
The key focus is that the learning and assessment process develops real skills that enhance the participant and the organisation as a whole. There are three (3) Assessment Strategies that will be adopted and each has a range of assessment methods.
1/ The Project – Participants will be required to identify an improvement project that they would like to plan, implement and review in the workplace. They will be required to gain management support for the project and establish a project team to lead through the implementation of the project.
2/ Knowledge Questions – designed to ensure participants have a solid understanding of the underpinning knowledge of management principles required for this level of application in the workplace.
3/ Management Interviews – Participate in a Management Interview where you will be required to provide specific examples of how you showed leadership in your work role or a project that you have managed. You will be asked a range of questions that cover the following areas;
