Leading Australian CAT equipment provider to the construction, mining, agricultural industries – WesTrac – has again turned to Forsythes Training to help develop and deliver a pilot training program for its NSW and ACT frontline supervisors of apprentices and tradespeople.
The customised program is being delivered on site over four days to three groups of 15 staff. It is contextualised to WesTrac’s competency framework, policies and procedures to incorporate these key learning activities:
- develop people & teams (including trainees/apprentices)
- drive performance & accountability
- live the WesTrac values.
The specific units of competency are:
- Demonstrate Leadership in the Workplace BSBLDR411
- Apply Communication Strategies in the Workplace BSBXCM401
- Develop Personal Work Priorities BSBPEF402 .
Customised training supports WesTrac’s Made for Leadership framework
NSW Senior People and Culture Manager – Operations, Bianca Jones, said the purpose of the training is two-fold.

Forsythes Training helped Westrac to gain Smart and Skilled funding subsidies through NSW Training Services for the program.
