New Case Study – Snowys Council gets subsidised customer service training with Local Government Skills Strategy

A local Council will save $200,000 by using the State Government’s Local Government Skills Strategy to train its entire workforce in customer service. 

Snowy Valleys Council engaged Forysthes Training to run the customer service program. We will effectively deliver the training for free because we got the Council funding through the Strategy.

We’ve already trained 40 of 200 staff. Council’s Project Co-ordinator, Matthew Christensen, says the feedback has been “absolutely amazing”.

Your Council can take advantage of the NSW Local Government Skills Strategy to develop a more capable and skilled workforce. The Strategy provides funding for targeted vocational education and training (VET) from accredited suppliers to meet current and future skills needs.
