This an intermediate course that builds on the skills you gained in Microsoft Power BI Level 1.

You will learn how to create more advanced visualisations and work with Measures, DAX, Row Level Security, and Power Query to work with data in Power BI.

Prerequisites

The following pre-requisites apply to this course:

• You must have an Intermediate – Level 2 knowledge of Microsoft Excel with at least several months experience in using Excel at this level.
• Power BI –  Level 1 must have been completed prior to enrolling in Power BI Level 2.

Is Power BI the same as Excel?

Power BI does not edit, add or change data like Excel does. It allows the creation of powerful dashboards and visually appealing graphical visualisations of existing data provided by Excel and other programs. It also leverages powerful tools to tidy up and fully normalise data from Excel into “Fact” and “Dimension” tables to allow  much more efficient manipulation of the data.
