How to become an accredited first aid trainer
To become a first aid trainer In Australia, you will need to have current qualifications in first aid and training and assessment from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Note there may be additional requirements depending on your location and employer.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110
Your first step to becoming an accredited first aid trainer in Australia is gaining a training and assessment qualification. Under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015, anyone planning to deliver a vocational education and training (VET) course, like first aid, must hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or an ASQA-recognised equivalent.

First Aid Qualification
Once you have gained the required qualification to demonstrate your ability as a trainer, you’ll need to develop your first aid knowledge.
