Forsythes Training’s industry first partnership with Workskil Australia has led to permanent jobs for local people and job ready people for local employers.
The skillset program in Customer Engagment was specifically developed by Forysthes Careers Institute for the jobactive provider for people looking to work in call centres and other customer engagement roles.
Six participants from the first program have already gained jobs with banking institutions and government sector positions.
Participants receive nationally accredited training in 10 units of competency in areas including communication, effective workplace relationships, prioritising work, and business writing. They receive simulated situational training and real world training with Forsythes’ expert trainers in customer engagement who also have skills in human synergistics.
One participant, Deb, said the very practical information made all the difference, down to tips on how to approach interviews and likely questions.
Regional Account Manager for Worksil Australia, Aaron Gray, said the program has brought really good results as some of the people were very long term unemployed such as returning parents or candidates simply looking to increase their skill capacity.
“Contact Centre work is particular and requires highly skilled employees, we appreciate that a tailored training approach is required,” he said.
“That’s why we asked Forsythes to develop a specialised customer contact pre-employment program.
“We hand pick candidates and give them real world training by experts to see if they are ready and able for contact centre work.
“For employers, the benefits are enormous because they get to meet our trained candidates at no cost to them.
“He said the results so far speak for the quality of the program and the training by Forysthes expert trainers.
“To gain permanent, rather than casual placements so early is more than we hoped for.”
