Integra Coal

Rod Whitaker – Training Advisor – Integra Underground.

Integra underground mine recently underwent an Order 34 audit which identified the Training and Competence for Supervisors in Non Technical Skills, the type of Supervisor training we are engaging our team members in to meet Industry best practice.

The audit was conducted on principles endorsed by the ISO 9000 series Quality Audit Process.

The outcome of Order 34 is to focus on the creation of an environment of safe, efficient operations.

The Department of Primary Industry who conducted the audit was most impressed with the outcomes of Forsythes Trainings Frontline Management program that we are currently enrolling our supervisors/managers into.

Forsythes Training has developed a Frontline Management program purposely designed for Mining and Heavy Engineering Industries, incorporating units of competency from the MNC04 Coal Training Package.

He could see by the evidence that the program was specifically aligned to the Mining Industry and relevant to the participants work roles, hence benefitting not only the participants, but our organisation as a whole.

The audit results were very positive considering all mines are being subjected to this series of Order 34 audits. Forsythes Trainings 51,52 & G2 Mine specific courses were another invaluable source of evidence towards our great results.
