Forsythes Training delivered a contextualised training program Certificate III and Certificate IV in Business Administration.
The rollout consisted of four programs with 16 employees attending Certificate III & 17 attending Certificate IV. The target audience were primarily Head Office employees with a mix of both government funded Existing Worker Trainees and non funded participants.
The dedicated training program was customised to include the use of Greater processes and documentation as part of the learning. Business areas covered include Customer Service Best Practice Principles, Administration & Document Development, Project Management philosophy/Approval processes, OHS Policies and Risk assessment.
The training programs involves workshop facilitation, trainee support, mentoring and monitoring. All assessments and course content was contextualised to ensure relevance to the target group and the program was designed to offer professional development opportunities to all administration staff at the Greater.
The program was designed with an emphasis on computer and business admin skills (including use of Microsoft Office applications – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Project ), to support the growth and the MS Office 2007 Transition. The programs are delivered over twelve months, with participants completing assessment tasks directly related to their roles within their individual business needs.
Forsythes also trained the Greater Head Office staff in the office upgrade which was conducted with approx 160 staff in the office 2007 transition course over 12 days. Training was conducted at the Greater over April/May 2011 with three hour sessions on the new interface of Office 2007.
Users were provided with hands on facilitator lead training, complemented with post course E-learning. Greater IT help desk was impressed with the fact that users had little need to call and log support calls as the roll out was implemented across the business with ease of interruption.”
