What Is NSW Fee Free?
Fee Free is a NSW and Commonwealth government initiative to support vocational training and skills development across NSW
All Smart and Skilled eligible students undertaking one of the priority courses in 2025/26 will not pay a fee. The goal is to increase access to vocational training and skills development across NSW and to provide greater opportunity for the people of NSW to secure employment in in demand and future focused industries.

Eligibility Criteria
From December 2022 the NSW government has expanded the eligibility criteria for Smart & Skilled Fee Free to include Fee – Free training.
To be eligible for a fully subsidised place you must continue to meet Smart and Skilled eligibility guidelines which are:
- live or work in NSW
- be an Australian Citizen, an Australian permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or a humanitarian visa holder
- over 15 years of age
- have left school
