Course Overview
This skill set is designed to support industry trainers and support-assessors to contribute to the assessment outcome rather than the final competency-assessment decision, which is made by a qualified assessor. Assessment contribution may involve volunteers collecting evidence in the workplace to support the work of a qualified assessor. The role may involve some coaching at individual or small group level.
The E-Learning TAESS00030 Volunteer Trainer Delivery and Assessment Contribution Skill Set includes three elective units of competency from the full TAE40122 certificate IV Training and Assessment.
The program is ideal for emergency services volunteers who wish to pass on their skills and knowledge by delivering accredited training

These units may provide credit towards TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and other qualifications that allow for selection of these units.
Participants design and deliver training content to conduct 3 x 30 minute training sessions. As an E-Learning student you will need to Video record yourself conducting the training sessions and upload these for marking.

Course Structure
The course is E-Learning with Student Support Days and one on one support provided via 1/2 hr Zoom sessions (limited to 3) to provide one on one guidance.

Course Schedule
Online self paced enrolment is for 6 months.
You will be provided with suggested assessment submission due dates to ensure you are progressing well throughout your enrolment period.
Computer Skills and Requirements
To complete this qualification via E-Learning , students must have access to:
- Reliable internet access
- a laptop/computer
- smartphone with video recording capability
- webcam
- headset and microphone
Participants must be computer literate and be experienced in the following computer functionality.
- Creating new folders
- Saving documents to folders
- Saving documents to the cloud
- Easily accessing/locating files on their computer quickly
- Using tables to complete templates
- How to minimize, reduce page size, open files
- How to split screens or have access to two screens one for interaction with trainer the second to access assessment materials
- Record and upload videos to Canvas
- Participants will also need to have access to Microsoft Word.

You will be required to demonstrate vocational competency in your proposed teaching area.
Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
You will also be asked to complete a series of questions relating to your previous employment and training history
Complete an online enrolment to demonstrate computer literacy
As stipulated by ASQA students completing the unit TAEDEL311 via E-Learning /virtually; must be able to video record in person training for assessment marking by Forsythes Assessor (Virtual students will need a group of four adults for group training session and two other adults for individual training session).
Recognition of Prior Learning
For participants not wishing to attend classroom workshops, skills recognition through an assessment only pathway is available through a formal RPL application process where previous industry experience applies.
