This skill set provides the necessary skills and knowledge for people to conduct assessment and operate without supervision in the vocational education and training (VET) sector, in accordance with the Standards for RTOs.
Target group is for individuals wishing to obtain the assessment competencies to assess according to VET system requirements.
The E-Learning TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set includes three units of competency from the full TAE40122 Certificate IV Training and Assessment:
TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
TAEASS412 Assess competence
TAEASS413 Participate in assessment validation
These units provide credit towards TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and other qualifications that allow for selection of these units.

Course Schedule
Online self paced enrolment is for 6 months.
You will be provided with suggested assessment submission due dates to ensure you are progressing well throughout your enrolment period.
Computer Skills and Requirements
To complete this qualification via E-Learning , students must have access to:
Reliable internet access
a laptop/computer
smartphone with video recording capability
webcam
headset and microphone
Participants must be computer literate and be experienced in the following computer functionality.
Creating new folders
Saving documents to folders
Saving documents to the cloud
Easily accessing/locating files on their computer quickly
Using tables to complete templates
How to minimize, reduce page size, open files
How to split screens or have access to two screens one for interaction with trainer the second to access assessment materials
Record and upload videos to Canvas
Participants will also need to have access to Microsoft Word.
You will be required to demonstrate vocational competency in your proposed teaching area.
Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
You may also be asked to complete a series of questions relating to your previous employment and training history
Complete an online enrolment to demonstrate computer literacy
Participants are required to have their own laptop/ desktop computer and must be comfortable in completing the following tasks on a computer:
Saving documents to folders
Saving documents to the cloud
Easily accessing/locating files on their computer quickly
Using tables to complete templates
Able to minimize, reduce page size, open files
Participants will also need to have access to Microsoft Word.
Recognition of Prior Learning
For participants not wishing to attend classroom workshops, skills recognition through an assessment only pathway is available through a formal RPL application process where previous industry experience applies.
