Employers can access Smart and Skilled funding as a cost effective way to train employees and develop their workforce.
What is Smart and Skilled funding?
Smart and Skilled is a Government funded training grant program that provides people living or working in NSW with access to government subsidised competency- based training courses in a range of courses and qualifications.
As an approved Smart and Skilled training provider Forsythes Training can help individuals and employers to take advantage of Government funding to develop the skills needed to boost productivity, performance and for career advancement.
How does Smart and Skilled work for employers?
NSW employers and workers can choose from a wide range of Government subsidised courses delivered by approved training providers such as Forsythes Training. There is also targeted funding available for higher-level training and part qualifications in priority industries.
For employers of people with disabilities or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders there may be additional fee exemptions or concessions.
For the first time a single set of fees will apply to government-subsidised courses regardless of which approved provider delivers the training course.
All apprenticeship qualifications and most traineeship qualifications for trainees who are new entrants are subsidised under Smart and Skilled.
Smart and Skilled works for employers in regional NSW too because approved training providers such as Forsythes Training receive a top up to the subsidy (called a loading) for training delivered in regional and remote locations.
What Smart and Skilled training is funded for employers?
There are a wide range of courses funded under Smart and Skilled based on the Government’s identified Skills List.
Forsythes Training is currently offering Smart and Skilled funded qualifications and partial qualifications/skill sets in: Project Management; Training and Assessment and Work Health and Safety.
