Course Overview

Our virtual TAESS00028 courses are not distance learning or self-paced.

Each session is delivered in a live classroom environment via Zoom where students and trainers can interact as a group as well as individually.

This skill set provides the necessary skills and knowledge for those who facilitate and conduct work-skill instruction whilst delivering nationally recognised training under supervision in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Target group is for individuals wishing to obtain the foundation delivery skill to meet VET system requirements.

The TAESS00028 Work Skill Instructor Skill Set includes two units of competency from the full TAE40122 Certificate IV Training and Assessment:

  • TAEDEL311 Provide work skill instruction
  • TAEPDD401 Work effectively in the VET sector

These units provide credit towards TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and other qualifications that allow for selection of these units.

Skill set involves four days of theory and practical deliveries

Participants design and deliver training content to conduct 3 x 30 minute training sessions. Virtual students must be able to video record their 3 x 30 min  sessions for assessment marking by Forsythes Assessor  (students will need a group of two adults for the delivery of their first session, and two other adults for 2 x individual sessions).

Pathways

After achieving TAESS00028 Work Skill Instructor Skill Set, participants may wish to also undertake TAE40122 Ceritficate IV in training and Assessement.

Entry Requirement

You will be required to demonstrate vocational competency in your proposed teaching area.

Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

You will also be asked to complete a series of questions relating to your previous employment and training history

Complete an online enrolment to demonstrate computer literacy

Recognition of Prior Learning

For participants not wishing to attend classroom workshops, skills recognition through an assessment only pathway is available through a formal RPL application process where previous industry experience applies.

A Recognition kit will need to be completed. Please click here to view the detailed information for RPL for the full qualification.
