Trades based or health & community based and looking for career change?
Hunter people with trades-based or health and community qualifications and experience have the opportunity to be supported to make a career change to become a trainer or assessor through a new trainer scholarship.
Fully subsidised training and possible scholarship
Forsythes Training is part of a new industry and NSW Government program that will provide people with fully subsidised training up front, and the possibility of a scholarship program to complete the qualification.
We’re providing initial quality skills training. Participants will also have access to practical work placement to contextualise the training.
Those successfully completing the initial training will be able to apply for a scholarship that provides paid, part time or casual, employment and the opportunity to complete a nationally accredited Certificate lV in Training & Assessment Education (TAE40116).
New work opportunity for displaced workers or career changers
This program is ideal for displaced or redundant workers or skilled tradespeople looking for a new challenge. You may be tired of being on the tools or looking for a new work challenge or opportunity to give back to your industry.
Looming shortage of trainers and assessors in the Hunter
The Hunter is facing a shortage of trainers and assessor in a range of sectors including community services, health, pathology services, nursing, construction, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, surveying, engineering, automotive (heavy and light vehicle), manufacturing, and IT. The growth in sectors requiring trainers and assessors means there are good employment opportunities for people with the right skills and experience.
Government and industry partnership
The new program is a NSW Government and industry partnership. We’re working with Training Services NSW, TAFE NSW, RDA Hunter, the Hunter Region Employment Facilitator, Hunter Defence Support Network, and VERTO.
