Forsythes Training continues to support the Hunter region’s vocational education and training (VET) sector by again sponsoring the NSW Training Awards (Hunter).
We’re a platinum sponsor of the Hunter’s night of nights for celebrating excellence in training apprentices and trainees. That includes sponsoring the highly anticipated Apprentice of the Year Award.
The event will be streamed via the NSW Training Facebook page for the first time on June 22 due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Winners will compete at the NSW Training Awards.
The event used to be called the Hunter Region Apprenticeship and Traineeship Awards, and is organised by the Hunter Region Apprenticeship and Traineeship Advisory (HRATA) Committee. Forsythes Training Director, Julie Carroll, sits on the HRATA Executive.
Julie said the event was initially cancelled but organisers have done a great job to enable the event to go ahead.
“It is important that we recognise the Hunter’s talented VET students, as well as the talented businesses/employers and the teachers/trainers behind those students,” Julie said.
“Forsythes Training has been a platinum sponsor of the awards for more than a decade,” she said.
HRATA Committee
HRATA is made up of stakeholders from the vocational education and training arena, supported by the Training Services NSW unit of the Department of Industry. Celebrating 69 years of operation, the committee is the longest standing of its kind in NSW. It is a conduit between industry and Government on all VET issues.
This year, the NSW Training Awards celebrates 65 years of outstanding achievements in vocational education and training. The event honours apprentices, trainees and students as well as teachers, training providers and employers.
Good luck to the finalists.
