Who should attend?

This course is a qualification for enterprise and RTO trainers and assessors wishing to obtain the training and assessment competencies to assess according to industry requirements. These individuals would require the skills to plan, prepare, deliver, assess and improve vocational training. Individuals should be engaged in a training and education environment or have vocational skills at a level that supports training and education in the subject area in which they intend to teach. The technical expertise achieved in this qualification may be utilised in, and is not limited to, the following job roles:

  • RTO assessor
  • training adviser or training needs analyst
  • vocational education teacher
  • Employees who need to achieve this level in the workplace. These people may have experience but lack formal qualifications.

The qualification also provides an opportunity for existing workers to obtain formal qualifications for the skills already acquired with experience. For this requirement, an RPL kit can be provided to any participants wishing to pursue this pathway.

Entry Requirement

Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

Student Support days included! What’s this?

Part of the program contains sections of self-paced learning where participants are required to complete some assessments within their workplace/outside of classroom workshops. This includes on-the-job learning, research and additional reading.

Forsythes Training has grouped the units of competency into four (4) clusters (listed below) which provides more opportunity for flexible delivery and assessment.

Participants are provided a full brief on the outcomes of the training and assessment and are provided an overview at the commencement of the program.

This is discussed in detail with participants and are advised in induction to seek support from the trainer/assessor should the need arise throughout the program.
