Forsythes Training congratulates two award winning apprentices who it has trained for its valued client, North Construction.
Brady Casey has taken out the Master Builders Association NSW 2019 Excellence in Construction Awards. He is in the running for the national award to be announced on November 22 in Uluru.
Nelson Florimo, now a Leading Hand, is headed to the National Training Awards in Brisbane on November 21 after winning the Central Coast and NSW State Training Awards. He also won the 2017 TAFE NSW President’s Award and took out the 2018 Master Builders Association Commercial Apprentice of the Year.
Both apprentices took part in Smart and Skilled subsidised training in leadership and management with Forsythes Training.
Forsythes Training customised its Step Up program to create North Construction’s Lead and Manage program.
Step Up introduces new team leaders and supervisors to their roles and responsibilities. using input from industry, it includes selected units from BSB42015 Certificate IV Leadership and Management. That means staff gain credits if they wish to complete the full nationally recognised qualification.
The program gives new and emerging leaders with skills in
• delegation
• time management
• leadership styles
• communication and workplace relationships
• teamwork and organisational goals.
The two young men were excellent students and will make great future leaders. Forsythes Training is proud to help companies such as North Construction to develop the construction industries leaders of tomorrow.
